Artist's Bio

Jeff Hammond is a freelance photographer from Northwest Atlanta, who combines his passion for both photography and the natural world to craft images such as the ones you will find throughout this site. He is experienced in several types of photography and examples of some of that work can be found throughout the site.
His work has been seen in magazines such as Outdoor Indiana, Bloom Magazine, Long Weekends, AAA, Sea Ray Living, Kentucky Monthly, Women in the Outdoors, Cincinnati Magazine and Ohio Magazine, various books and in numerous newspapers from Bloomington to Denver. His work has garnered many awards in art exhibitions, including multi-year accolades of "Best of Show" in the Wings Over Muscatatuck Photography contest and multi-year "Winner" of the photography division of the Nature's Inspiration contest in Carmel, Indiana.
In addition to creating images such as these, Jeff served for ten years on the Board of Directors for the Bloomington Photography Club, for which he also served on its Programming and Special Events Committee. He is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA), National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), Hoosier Outdoor Writers and Western Outdoor Writers. He leads photography outings for various groups, provides presentations to clubs and other organizations and provides volunteer services for Big Brothers & Big Sisters and the Bloomington Volunteer Network.
In his spare time, he holds Federal and State banding permits which have allowed him to volunteer as a station leader for four years of the Project Owlnet Northern Saw-whet Owl banding project in the Yellowwood State Forest in Brown County, Indiana.
